New Fundraising Opportunity - YMCA Officiating
Bay Metro has agreed to provide basketball officials for a new high school league hosted by the new Bay City YMCA this summer. The YMCA has offered to contribute $1,200 directly toward our Kenny VanSlyke Scholarship Fund for our efforts. Please check out the Donating Officiating page for more details.
2011-2012 Kenny VanSlyke Award Announcement
John Glenn High School of Bay City is the winner of the 2011-2012 school year Kenny VanSlyke Award. Below is the response from Bruce Moore notifying them of being the recipient of the award.
Thank you very much for this award! The entire Athletic Department including secretary Jodie Scott, Game Manager Jennifer Gradowski, and I are honored to be recognized for the work that is put in. It really makes our day when the behind the scenes efforts are acknowledged. Too many times our jobs as well as yours go unnoticed and this is an opportunity to rejoice in the little things that athletics brings to us all. We truly appreciate the efforts that are put in by the Bay Metro Officials Association, its assignors, and also its referees.
