Mission

BMOA is dedicated to providing the highest quality sports officials to the conferences and schools we serve throughout Michigan. BMOA is recognized by the Michigan High School Athletic Association as an approved officials association. This status is earned by officiating associations that demonstrate a commitment to excellence through training and adherence to the officiating guidelines established by the MHSAA.

 
Interesting in Becoming a Registered Official and Joining BMOA?  Here are the steps you must take to become an approved official:

To become a registered official, go to the MHSAA website at  www.mhsaa.com and follow the registration instructions.

Once you've registered with the MHSAA and paid all associated fees, you are eligible to join BMOA.  BMOA has an annual $15 registration fee in addition to a $15.00 fee per sport you wish to officiate.  In order to register with BMOA, and be a member in good standing, please follow these simple steps:

    Both these forms must be completed, signed and mailed with your association dues to:

    The appropriate fees must accompany the registration form. Schedules are not given to officials who have not paid their dues. Click the Dues tab to pay online.
    It is your responsibility to contact the assigner for the sports you have registered to officiate. Failure to do so may result in not receiving a schedule.
    The assignors and their phone numbers are listed below.
    You must attend a minimum of two of the following; rules meetings, a camp, present at a rules meeting or make arrangements with your assignor for another way to comply with the intent of the rule.  Rookie officials, defined as 0-3 years of officiating experience, are also required to attend rookie training camps.
